Special Profiles

A range of cathode bar (or collector bar) sections are available for pot relining in aluminium smelters.

Section widths are available from 130 to 250mm and thicknesses from 60 to 160mm to suit different carbon block designs. A range of steel specifications are available from mild steel grades to lower carbon grades, which offer reduced resistivity.

We offer a range of options for supply of cathode bars:

• "long bars"
• cold sawn to required length
• with machined and drilled bar ends.

Our range of rectangular or square bar profiles is also available for manufacturing anode stem assemblies for supporting anode rods. These bars are sometimes referred to as traverse bars. Contact us for further information on the range of sizes and steel grades available."
